Koya WebbKoya Webb is a phenomenal role model for vegan women to follow. Not just for her breathtaking beauty, Screen Shot 2014-02-19 at 4.07.06 PMbut also for her athletic prowess and entrepreneurial spirit! The 5’10” super-fit beauty has been featured in ads for Nike, Adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Nordic Track, Kettlebells Power System, Shakeweight, Total Flex as well as many, many other major national ad campaigns, magazine covers and features. Where did this inspirational supermodel come from? Beverly Hills? Manhattan? Nope. Koya was raised in a modest trailer in Humboldt, Tennessee. She credits having to run to catch the bus for her success as a track and field athlete and she credits her parents books on health for inspiring her to become a holistic health and wellness specialist. Koya’s success in fitness began as a young woman when she became a field heptathlon champion (an event consisting of High Jump, Long Jump, 100 Meter Hurdles, 200 Meter Dash, 800 Meter Run, Shot Put, and Javelin). Later she became a trainer at McConnell Air Force Base during college. She is now a certified personal trainer and has completed extensive studies in holistic nutrition, and she holds a degree in Exercise Science and Business.

Very impressive, but what we really want to know is: What does she eat and how does she train to keep looking like this?

Koya Says:
“I believe in integrated fitness and exercise. I like to keep it fun and mix it up all the time. I do yoga every morning for 10-30

Screen Shot 2014-02-19 at 4.06.24 PMminutes minimum. 2-3 times a week I do kick boxing. I lift weights 3 times a week. I also swim and ride my bike on the other days to stay in shape for triathlons. I love to ride my bike, it’s a lot of fun and I love to swim! I find the water very comforting. I’ll ride my bike along the beach near my home maybe Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. I swim 2 days a week, maybe Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. I go to the beach randomly to work out with kettlebells. Maybe once a week I do a jump rope work out.

Most of my workouts are 30 minutes or less. I hit it and quit it.

Right now I’m taking Master Swimming classes. When I do that it might be an hour, but when I swim on my own, it’s 30 minutes. I also run from 10-30 minutes before I lift weights or kick box. If I am getting ready for a photo shoot I will run for 30 minutes, but normally it will be closer to 10 minutes. I like to keep some curves. I don’t like to be too slim. But, I do have to keep it tight.”
